I'm using an Extract Single Instance calc field to pull an employee's current visa. It works for current date reporting but does not report accurately for past dates...
I have an issue regarding a calculated field and my ability to find it in a condition rule for a Hire business process...
We need a report that will show teammates when they hit their 30th day worked and their 90th day worked using time blocks in a given range...
I'm using an Extract Single Instance calc field to pull an employee's current visa. This works fine when running reports for the current date, but does not report accurately for past dates. Does the report effective date not influence how the ESI works?
For context, I built a matrix report to run counts of visa-type holders and show those as a percentage of our total employee population. The basic framework works fine when I run the report for a current effective date. When I run the report for a previous effective date, the report still looks at the current historical employee population, but it does not accurately identify who was a visa-holder and what visa type they were using.
I tried using a Lookup Related Value targeting my calculated field and setting the date to Report Effective Date, but that did not work either. How can I get effective dated functionality for my ESI?
My calculated fields are: Extract Single Instance using the Visas source field, Lookup Related Value to pull Visa Type from that ESI, and Lookup Related Value as of Date.
